WARRANTY SUMMARY

As an Authorised Australian Reseller, you will receive the exact same product support and warranty as you would if you purchased through a local store. All products sold include the original manufacturer's warranty valid within Australia. The warranty terms vary depending on the brand, please call us for further information.


  • All lamps have a minimum 90 day replacement warranty
    If your lamp fails (and is reported to us) within the first 90 days you are entitled to a free replacement product*.

When researching your purchase, please keep in mind that some resellers do not offer goods authorised for sale within Australia. These goods have been imported directly and therefore are not covered under the Australian warranty (Also known as 'Grey Imports'). LampsExpress.com.au only sells authorised product purchased through the Australian distribution channel. We only sell Original products.

WARRANTY SERVICE

  • If your product fails within the vendors warranty period (90 days for most lamps), please contact GM Multimedia so we can assist you in making a warranty claim.
  • GM Multimedia only sells products that have been authorised for sale within Australia. All warranties are valid within Australia upon display of a GM Multimedia Tax Invoice.
  • Once a lamp has been returned to the appropriate service centre/distributor, has been tested, and confirmed faulty, a replacement lamp will be despatched to you at no extra charge.
  • All lamp returns must be accompanied by a RA (return authorisation) form.

OTHER RETURNS

  • Please contact the GM Multimedia office prior to returning any goods.
  • Within ACCC guidelines for the refund of goods, and in line with the industry practice, if the goods bought have had any use or have been removed from original packaging, no refunds or exchanges will be allowed (unless the return as be authorised by GM Multimedia personnel and our suppliers).
  • If goods received are not as ordered, please inform GM Multimedia within 24 hours of receiving the delivery. We ask you not to damage any packaging as it can be deemed as acceptance of goods and may not be accepted for returns.
  • GM Multimedia do not offer refunds, credit or exchanges based on incorrect, incompatible or unsuitable goods. Please select your goods carefully before placing your order. We offer advice and can assist you when making your purchase decision.
  • In line with the industry standard, shipping cost or any financial charges are non refundable.
  • Cancellation of some items may result in a restocking fee (up to 50%). This charge is applied by our suppliers and can often be out of our control.
  • Items marked with an X on this website are non-cancelable.
  • Cancellation must be informed as soon as possible, any cancellation after a product has been packed may result in the customer paying for freight, handling and/or restocking charges.
  • GM Multimedia reserve the title of ownership to any extra goods shipped as result of our error.

WARRANTY POLICY

When making a warranty claim, your products may be returned directly to a authorised service centre or to our Melbourne sales office - please call before returning any products.
All goods sold by GM Multimedia' Lamps Express are covered by the vendors limited warranty. Many lamps are covered for 3 months, please contact GM Multimedia to confirm the warranty term with your select brand.
Accessories generally include a warranty of at least 12 months from invoice.

Warranty terms and conditions vary as per each manufacturer/vendor, for detailed information please speak to an authorised representative of the manufacturer or vendor. In the unlikely case that a product fails within the manufacturer warranty period, the product must be returned to a authorised repair centre for diagnostics and repair or replacement. Any replacement parts, boards or equipment will be warranted for the balance of the original warranty period. GM Multimedia can take no responsibility for repairs undertaken, delays, errors, or for any loss or damage, direct or consequential including, without limitations, lost profits, lost goodwill, work stoppage, and loss or impairment of data arising out of the use or inability to use the product.


WARRANTY EXCEPTIONS

This warranty does not apply to:

*Any product that has not been installed in accordance with the installation instruction supplied by the equipment manufacturer.
*Any product that is repaired or altered by anyone other than an authorised service center, where products disassembled or repaired in such a manner that performance is affected.
*Any product that fails or is damaged as a result of improper storage, operation under abnormal conditions misuse, neglect, abuse, power surge, accident, act of God or maladjustment of consumer controls. Short circuiting the equipment will be considered misuse and will cause the product not to be covered by the warranty.
*Any defect or damage caused by or resulting from the connection or attachment to the product that has not been approved by the manufacturer for connection or attachment to the product.
*Any defect or damage caused by or resulting from improper installation or defective functioning of software or virus infection.
*Defects or damage due to spills of liquid or other substances (dust, cigarette), excessive temperature or humidity and environmental conditions.
*Aesthetic or surface damage or scratches to all plastic surfaces and other external parts damaged due to normal customer use.
*Any cost of hardware or software removal or reinstallation.
*Any product or part thereof which has suffered through alteration or defacement of the serial number or warranty seals as such where an unauthorised service personnel opening the product without permission from GM Multimedia.
*Where proof of purchase documentation can not be produced.


WARRANTY CLAIMS

To obtain repairs or replacement within terms of this warranty, please contact us directly by phone. Alternatively warranty claims can be made directly to the manufacturer via an authorised service centre. For more information please see the leaflet that came with your product.

Under no circumstances shall GM Multimedia be liable for any loss or damage, direct or consequential including, without limitations, lost profits, lost goodwill, work stoppage, and loss or impairment of data arising out of the use or inability to use the product.

The benefits conferred by this warranty are in addition to all other rights and remedies in respect of the service provided which the consumer has under the Trade Practices Act and similar State and Territory Laws.
